12/3 RSVP - Ward Organizing For A Free Palestine
Philly’s Democratic Ward system shapes who gets on the ballot and who wins local elections. If the Pro-Palestine movement wants to move policy, shift resources, and actualize real solidarity through our government's resources, we need a seat at that table. Join the Wards That Work coalition for a workshop to learn what the Ward system is, how we can participate, and why our perspective as anti-Zionists can shape a better world here in Philadelphia and beyond.
Address: Wooden Shoe Books - 704 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
11/9 - Wards Organizing For Palestine (w/ Wards That Work)
With a ceasefire taking hold in Gaza, the Pro-Palestine coalition must find ways to deepen our momentum to move beyond protest into building durable political power. One path forward is growing our influence inside the Democratic Party in Philadelphia. Join us to learn about the ward system and discuss how we can participate to shape local endorsements and build a pipeline of leaders committed to a free Palestine.
10/25 TOWN HALL
We’re launching our Wards That Work coalition with a citywide town hall bringing together labor, community, and elected leaders to talk about the power of wards and committee people in shaping Philadelphia’s future—and how we can build a city that works, one ward at a time.
We’ll be joined by State Representative Rick Krajewski, Emiliano Rodriguez, Secretary-Treasurer of Unite HERE Local 274, Kate Rivera, President of Riverwards Area Democrats, and Will Gross, 2nd Ward Leader.
Together, we’ll dig into how everyday people can organize their neighborhoods into real engines for change and longterm political power.
Join us on Saturday, October 25 from 3–5pm at Workers United, 22 S 22nd St, to build neighborhoods for the many, not the few.
